Winter Solstice Journal Prompts
easy journal prompts to clear your mind, and end the year strong.
I recently fell in love with journaling again. It used to be a steady habit of mine to write “dear diary” regularly as a teenager, but I unfortunately fell out of the habit. A few months ago I rediscovered how much I love to journal and it led to an almost nightly habit, and well, the birth of this newsletter.
Journaling has quite literally saved me a handful of times. With today being the winter solstice, it’s a good time to reflect on this year and prepare our minds for the next year. I’m sharing some simple journaling prompts to help inspire any one who may want to get into the habit, or already are journaling but may be drawing a blank on what to journal about during the holiday rush.
What do you want to leave behind in 2023? What is no longer serving you?
What are your goals for 2024?
What habits do you want to build (or break) in 2024?
What did you struggle with the most this year? What did you learn from those struggles?
How do you feel about this past year? how do you want to feel in the next year?
Is there anything you’d like to dedicate more time to in 2024?
How will you show up for yourself in 2024?
List the heavy emotions you dealt with in 2023. Name them. Write them down and then strike through them. Now think of emotions you want to experience in 2024. write them down. manifest them.
“I forgive myself for…” yeah… fill in that blank. This might be a tough one, but you got this.
3 things I want to learn/read/or do in 2024.
